Granada celebrates the 21st Tango Festival. The main programme of events will take place in the Teatro Municipal Isabel la Católica. Between the 1st and 5th April there will be tango shows, dance, and concerts. Performances will begin at 21:00 (except on Sundays when the show begins at 20:00). There is also a programme of parallel activities:
· Tango en los monumentos (Tango in monuments) at 13:00: Friday 3rd at the Mirador de San Nicolás, Saturday 4th at the Plaza Bib Rambla, Sunday 5th in the Corral del Carbón (C/ Mariana Pineda).
· Tango en la Universidad (Tango at the University) at 19:00, in the department of philosophy and literature. On Thursday 2nd tango y poesía by Carlos Andreoli and Osvaldo Jiménez singing poems by Rubén Darío, Raúl González Tuñón, Federico García Lorca, Luis García Montero and Carlos Andreoli.
· Fiestas de trasnoche, on the 31st at 21:30, the 1st, 2nd and 5th at 23:00 in Aliatar Café (C/ San Sebastián, 4) and on the 3rd and 4th at 23:00 in the Hotel Maciá Monasterio de los Basilios (Paseo Basilios, 2). Free entry.
· Tango Classes by Miguel Zotto. For students of all levels: Beginners friday 3rd. Intermediate and advanced on Saturday and Sunday. Prices range from 30 € and 75 €.
