For Axel Void "Homeless is a portrait of a homeless person, decontextualising him and placing him in an art gallery". For this graffiti artist who has exhibited in museums, galleries and exhibitions, and has even given classes as a teacher at the University of Contemporary Art AKI in Holland, the decontextualisation of the homeless person comes to reinforce a metaphorical vision of how society views graffiti, the closed stereotype, something that can't be taken out of the streets, but which noone wants to see - the same situation that exists for the homeless.
The restless Alejandro Dorda (Miami, 1986) aka Axel Void, has done the rounds with his work since 1999 - he has passed through street projects such as Intervenciones en Jueves, conventional exhibitions and interventions in several European and North American cities. After visiting the Sey Colors Gallery in Bilbao, Homeless comes to Seville, the city that has become home to this versatile artist.
