The latest releases from publishing houses, production companies and record labels throughout Andalusia:

Yphsilon/Vertigo de JR Seaton. Nocturnes, 2009. nocturnes.cc.
Superb understated tripping house music from Berlin. The first hundred hand-stamped and numbered copies of the LP sold out across Europe within a week. As the public clamoured for more, newcomer label Nocturnes has quickly ordered another 350. The clarinet on both tracks was recorded in Ronda and performed by David Seaton. Based in Berlin, Nocturnes has been set up to release music that “makes you dance and close your eyes”. Each release has two tracks on either side of the record: one is N (Night) and the other D (Day). Vinyl only for now and no remixes. Their strategy? Selling exclusively to the best record stores across the world, such as Clone Records, Rubadub and Hard Wax. Listen at myspace.com/nocturnes.

“A vivid portrayal of the emotional rupture between a father recently released from jail and his 12-year-old son, following a dark family tragedy that no one has enough strength to confront.”
