Espacio Creativo La Bañera - Seville
Two young artists creating in a magical environment: red light bulbs welcome you along with the penetrating smell of wet paint. Alejandro Botubol (Cadiz, 1979) and Ismael Lagares (Huelva, 1978) started out in small studios across Seville until Lagares found one with potential just screaming to be used for all kinds of activities. That was just the beginning of a journey that has led them to creating a creative art space known as La Bañera (The Bath) in Seville. “It took us a while before we finally closed the deal and in the meantime I waited in nervous anticipation to be able to start working here,” comments Botubul cheerfully. Then came their first exhibition. It was January 2009. |
