Every summer, during the first week of August (from Thursday to Sunday), this small village in the province of Malaga takes a break from routine to enjoy a programme brimming with culture. Concerts, alternative music, flamenco, traditional dancing (including the local fandango casareño) and the famous Fiesta de la Espuma, or Foam Party, are just some of the activities you can enjoy in this yearly event. This village fair also includes competitions and recitals get the whole village involved as well as bringing both local and international tourists into the area. Is you’re into your history, this feria is a celebration of the resistance of the village against the French between 1810 and 1813. |
