Stands out for: its profound but popular tone

A troubadour tells the story of a tyrant who wanted to know the thoughts of all his vassals, so as to remain their master. With this aim in mind, he pronounces an edict directed at wise men and artisans, so that they invent a magic potion, a gadget, and a machine to allow him to be everywhere at once to allow him to spy on his people. The ideas proposed by the Master Engraver, the Great Alchemist and the Astrologer are unsuccessful in their task. In the end it is a luthier who finds the ideal solution, a simple instrument: a metronome. With it he can make time stand still and change the course of history.
