01-O-09: Several Andalusian wines are awarded at the Mundus Vini 2009 wine competition

Two crianza reds, a Cabernet and a Syrah, created by the Alboloduy Winery in Almeria have been awarded two gold medals at the Mundus Vini 2009 wine competition in Germany which was celebrated in September 2009. Almost 6000 wines took part from five continents at this wine event that ranks up there with Les Vinalies Internationales in Paris, the International Wine Challenge in London and the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. Andalusians who came home with medals were:

Gold:
· Royal Ambrosante Old Solera Pedro Ximenez 20YO (Sandeman)
· Pedro Ximénez Vino Dulce Natural (Emilio Hidalgo)
· Syrah Colección Christina Calvache (Bodega de Alboloduy)
· Cabernet Colección Cristina Calvache 2005 (Bodega de Alboloduy)

Silver:
· Royal Corregidor Rich Old Oloroso 20YO (Sandeman)
· Pedro Ximenez Sweet Sherry (Osborne)
